Action After Stroke

Action After Stroke is a non-profit organisation that brings student volunteers and stroke survivors together. We are incredibly lucky to receive support from the Annual Fund which ensures we can keep the group running. Based in the sports centre on St. Luke's campus at the University of Exeter, we run two sessions per week during term. These are on Mondays and Thursdays, 10-11am.

Volunteers are welcome to join us at any stage in the academic year and from any discipline. In particular, our programme is of particular value to those seeking careers in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, psychology and neuropsychology, social work and the caring professions. If you are interested in joining as a volunteer, please click here for more information.

We also offer opportunities for our most dedicated volunteers, including Vice President committee position, Session Coordinator positions and free Level 2 REPS Fitness Instructor training (usually worth ~£400 per person).

If you would like to join AAS as a member, please contact us to join our waiting list. We will try and get back to you as soon as we can. Prospective members can click here for more information.

More information on joining can be found on this website. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
